About Greg Loughlin
Hi there. I'm a writer, social worker, university instructor, father, and husband. I grew up in Fayetteville, NC, and have lived in Atlanta, GA, since 1997.
Most of my professional experience comes in engaging men and communities to prevent violence against women. Past positions include Executive Director of the Georgia Commission on Family Violence, Director of Strategic Initiatives at Men Stopping Violence, and Co-Coordinator of the Georgia Domestic Violence Fatality Review Project. My current interests include writing for social change and public health efforts to prevent gun violence.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Atlanta Voice, Voice Male Magazine, WomenStrong International, and MARCH literary magazine have published my writing. I have also co-authored a chapter on preventing male sexual violence published in the Handbook of Interpersonal Violence and Abuse Across the Lifespan by Springer Cham.
In my free time, I like to kayak, write, go to the theater, hang out with my family and friends, and listen to baseball on the radio.
